BODHICHARYAVATARA

The Way of the Bodhisattva

May I be an island for those seeking an island,

A pathfinder for those who are on the road.

May I be a bridge, a boat, and a ship

For those who would cross.

-Shantideva

It's not just a music for meditation. It's a real drama that leads a modern listener towards deeper understanding of a heroic path of the Bodhisattvas. I'm sure it will bring great benefit to those who appreciate contemporary music.

SCHUMANN- Album for the Young

October 1, 2021

In this new recording, composer-pianist William Bolcom fulfills a lifetime passion for Schumann's Album for the Young, pieces designed for young children. Bolcom, one of the most accomplished and decorated musicians of our time, first performed these pieces publicly in the 1940s.

For the occasion to finally record these pieces, Bolcom conscripted fellow pianist Logan Skelton to split duties with him. The result are performances bounding with charm and beauty, and an example of the difference between an inexperienced musician playing this music, and the playing by an artist like the 83 year old Bolcom, who has done so much in the world of music.

Supertrain Records is proud to present such a brilliant album by such distinguished artists.
